Dr. John Hoh started in 1996 as the Medical Director, and as the first physician for patient care when APHCV first opened its clinic doors in June of 1996. He has diligently served our patients and the community for the past 29 years. As he begins a new chapter of his life in retirement, we would like to express our appreciation for all his contributions to our health center over the years.
Dr. Hoh received his medical degree in 1983 from Temple University. He completed a three-year medical residency at Montefiore Medical Center and the three-year fellowship at John Hopkins Medical Center and the National Institute of Health, Gerontology Research Center. He specializes in Internal Medicine with added formal training in Geriatric Medicine.
As a practicing physician at APHCV in his first 11 years, he has been well-respected and loved by many of his patients. One patient shared, “I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for (Dr. Hoh’s) years of compassionate care and dedication. Your expertise and kindness have made a lasting impact on so many lives, including mine. You’ve been more than a doctor; you’ve been a trusted guide through health and healing”. Since 2017, Dr. Hoh became a full-time administrative Medical Director.
Dr. Hoh has been well-loved by his colleagues at APHCV. Our Director of Clinic Operations who worked alongside Dr. Hoh for twenty-eight years stated, “You have taught me a lot over the years, and I would like to sincerely thank you for your guidance. Your care and compassion were not only extended to our patients, but also to the people around you at APHCV”. Our Chief Executive Officer states, “I will keep in my heart all of the things we have done together and wish to tell others about your incredible contributions.”
As he will move to the state of Ohio where his family members reside, we are happy for Dr. Hoh’s next chapter in his life and greatly appreciate all of his contributions and care for the past 29 years.
