The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LAC DPH) advises that mild cases of COVID-19 will not be tested. Severe COVID-19 suspect cases are referred to the Emergency Department where COVID-19 testing is performed. Due to the high risk of spread, LAC DPH also advises that home care is provided for mild colds, flu, and COVID-19 disease like symptoms.
